The Sinaa 2025 trade fair, which runs until 4 December, focuses on the transition from importation to local production, particularly in the mechanical and automotive industries. The event, billed as the most important edition since its inception, reflects the country's industrial boom and growing demand for tools, equipment and production solutions.

One of the striking trends is the shift from former importers to local manufacturing. Some now offer turnkey factories, meeting the demand for industrial machinery, spare parts and maintenance. This dynamic has led to the emergence of a genuine local market, although some dependencies remain for heavy machinery and complex raw materials.

In the automotive sector, several private companies have launched local production of consumables: SARL Planète Filtre Industrie now manufactures air, oil and fuel filters and plans to produce water filters. The company Mixoil, in Bejaia, has moved from distribution to the manufacture of industrial and automotive oils, in collaboration with Sonatrach. Finally, SARL FAJO, based in Batna, specialises in the manufacture of engine and gearbox seals adapted to the Algerian market.
