Rachid Hachichi received a delegation from British company John Crane on Sunday, led by its chairman, Ruben Alvarez, according to a statement from the Sonatrach Group.

Improving the performance of rotating equipment

The meeting, held at the Group's headquarters and attended by senior executives from both companies, focused on projects linking the two companies, namely the supply of dry mechanical seals for compressors, their installation and repair in Sonatrach gas complexes, according to the statement. Discussions also focused on "opportunities for a future partnership between Sonatrach and John Crane, as well as ways and means of implementing it in the field, particularly concerning integrated solutions to improve the performance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, engines, and turbines, in addition to the areas of methane emission reduction, decarbonization, digitalization, and new energies, such as solar and hydrogen."

John Crane is an international company specializing in the supply of dry mechanical seal solutions and systems and maintenance services for rotating equipment. It is also active in improving and securing the operation of pumps, compressors, and turbines in the oil and gas industry.
