Algeria and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their desire to strengthen and diversify their cooperation, particularly in agriculture, trade, and innovation. At the forum, held in London, focused on sustainable agricultural partnerships, both parties highlighted agritech as a strategic lever. Algerian Ambassador Noureddine Yazid presented efforts to modernise the agriculture sector and encouraged British operators to invest, particularly in Saharan agriculture. UK operators expressed their willingness to contribute their expertise in precision agriculture, artificial intelligence, and food processing.
Two workshops focused on innovation, sustainability, plant and animal production, clean energy, and research. At the same time, an exhibition promoted Algerian agricultural products to major British retail chains.
On the trade front, bilateral trade reached £2.6 billion in the third quarter of 2025, a 3.5% growth. The ambassador and the UK Minister for Trade, Chris Bryant, expressed their desire to strengthen economic partnerships and extend cooperation to other areas, particularly culture.
