Financing micro-projects for housewives: Executive decree soon in force

The Director of Family Protection and Promotion at the Ministry of Solidarity has announced the finalisation of an executive decree on financing micro-projects for housewives. The decree will come into force as soon as the legal procedures have been completed and published in the Journal Officiel.

The new decree presented by Mr. Meddah aims to support women producers in precarious situations through a direct subsidy of 80,000 to 100,000 dinars, intended to launch income-generating micro-projects. The scheme is part of a drive for economic and social inclusion, particularly for female heads of household with no income, especially in rural and Saharan areas. Products will be marketed via institutional channels such as hotels, trade fairs and international shows, in partnership with the tourism and crafts sectors.

The sectors concerned include sewing, pastry-making, weaving, food processing and traditional crafts. Applications can be submitted online or to the social action directorates, with simplified procedures. Wilaya commissions and local committees will ensure the transparency of the process. In addition, training courses and awareness-raising campaigns will be organised to support beneficiaries in managing and promoting their projects.
