The Council of the Nation launches a Legislative Working Group
The Council of the Nation has announced the formation of a legislative working group chaired by Ahmed Kharchi, vice-president in charge of legislation and relations with the National People's Assembly (APN) and the Government. This group, comprising representatives of various parties and independent members, will study and propose legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two chambers of parliament.
Group members include leading figures such as Mohamed Réda Oussahla (external relations), Mohamed Laid Ballaa (legal affairs), Bettahar Lazreg (independents), and Azzouz Nasri, Walid Laggoune, Abderrahmane Kenchouba and Abdennour Derguini, all representatives of various political parties and currents.
This initiative is part of a drive to strengthen institutional dialogue and improve the efficiency of the legislative process in Algeria, by emphasizing consultation and the plurality of opinions.
