Algeria–Oman: Towards an industrial partnership in the manufacture of buses and heavy vehicles

On Saturday, Industry Minister Yahia Bachir received the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif Bin Nasser Al-Badaai, accompanied by Ibrahim Ali Al-Balushi, the Executive President of Karwa Motors, for talks on consolidating joint investments in bus and commercial car production, according to a statement from the ministry.

During a meeting between officials from the Algerian Ministry of Industry and Omani representatives, the two parties discussed strengthening Algerian-Omani industrial cooperation, particularly in the production of buses, fire trucks, and heavy vehicles. Minister Yahia Bachir affirmed Algeria's willingness to support sustainable and localized industrial investment by facilitating joint projects.

Karwa Motors, an Omani company operating internationally, has expressed its willingness to transfer its expertise to Algeria based on a higher level of local integration and global standards. The Algerian minister has been invited to visit its factories in Oman. This strategic partnership aims to support Algeria's industrial transition and strengthen economic relations between the two countries, as part of national economic diversification.
