In Annaba, maritime traffic between Algeria and Spain is taking on a new dimension. Yesterday, the port was the scene of a strategic visit that could redraw the map of trade between Algeria and Europe.

The port of Annaba recently welcomed a high-level delegation from Marguisa Shipping Lines, accompanied by representatives of the South Korean operator HMM, who came to assess the site's logistical capabilities. This visit is part of a broader context of renewed economic relations between Algeria and Spain. Marguisa officials expressed their satisfaction with the port's performance and organisation, which is seen as a future strategic hub in the Mediterranean. Marguisa is seeking to strengthen its network on the routes connecting Europe, Africa, and Latin America. HMM, for its part, has announced that " it will double the frequency of its calls at Annaba, with two ships per month, thereby strengthening the port's connectivity with the rest of the Mediterranean basin.
