The meeting, which brings together representatives of the two countries' security authorities, is attended by the Director General of National Security, the Director General of Customs, the Commander of the Border Guard and a representative of the Ministry of National Defense.

The main aim of the meeting is to strengthen security coordination between Algeria and Tunisia and to assess bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fight against organized cross-border crime, illegal immigration and smuggling.

Discussions will also focus on developing and promoting border regions, in line with the recommendations of the Joint Border Committee's follow-up commission to the meeting held last January.
