Algeria-Nicaragua: Towards the creation of a joint business council

On Thursday in Algiers, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received the Nicaraguan Ambassador, Carlos Eduardo Diaz Moreira.

Rezig discussed with the Nicaraguan ambassador the creation of a joint business council to develop trade between the two countries, according to a statement from the ministry.

Taking economic cooperation to new heights

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed ways to develop and expand bilateral trade so that it could "reflect the strength of the political relations between the two countries," according to the statement. In this context, Rezig highlighted "Algeria's commitment to raising economic cooperation to higher levels through the creation of an Algerian-Nicaraguan business council as an operational framework to encourage bilateral trade," the same source added.


For his part, Moreira emphasised his country's determination to elevate trade relations to a privileged political level, highlighting the shared desire to explore opportunities for cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest.
